Best Italian Restaurants in Paris

Italian cuisine is the second most popular restaurant category in Paris after French itself, a reflection of both geographical proximity and the deep affinity Parisians have always had for Italian food culture. The city's Italian restaurants range from neighbourhood trattorias serving affordable pasta and wine to celebrated establishments where the best Italian regional cooking is presented at the highest level.

The 10th and 11th arrondissements have seen a concentration of excellent newer Italian restaurants, while Montmartre and Saint-Germain-des-Prés offer more traditional options. The Marais has several outstanding modern Italian restaurants popular with the neighbourhood's international population. Paris's gelato scene has also matured dramatically, with several artisan gelaterie now producing genuinely exceptional product.
