Paris Events Showcase City's Creative and Cultural Identity
Weekend concerts, immersive performances and a vintage vehicle parade draw on local venues and traditions to express artistic expression.
How we reported this

Paris hosts between 82 and 157 concerts, festivals and events this weekend, among them Damso at La Défense Arena and Aya Nakamura at Stade de France.
Electronic Music Series at Palais de Tokyo
Tokyo Waves, curated by Jen Cardini, features female DJ sets and live performances on the Garden Level of the Palais de Tokyo. The series continues through August 29, 2026, with a July 18 date listed for this weekend. These events place contemporary electronic programming inside one of the city’s established contemporary art institutions.
Vintage Vehicle Parade on Sunday
The Summer Crossing of Paris takes place on Sunday, July 19, 2026, with approximately 700 vehicles more than 30 years old moving through the city. The parade supplies a public display of mechanical heritage that intersects with street-level cultural activity.
Immersive and Candlelight Performances
An immersive production at the Church of Saint-Eustache combines 3D projections, video mapping, a live orchestra and choir. A separate 400 m² Pirate Experience playground with six themed rooms operates alongside. A candlelight concert dedicated to The Lord of the Rings trilogy is scheduled at the Maison de l’Océan. These productions adapt historic and cultural sites for evening programming.
Free outdoor films and festivals supplement the paid events across multiple neighbourhoods. Iconic locations such as the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Musée d’Orsay, Sacré-Cœur and Notre-Dame remain open for visits, while areas including Montmartre, Canal Saint-Martin and Le Marais offer additional settings for Sunday walks and meals. Food options range from pastries at Cédric Grolet to dining at Le Train Bleu and Mondaine de Paris, with picnics possible near the Seine. Non-touristy options include La Coulée Verte, Jardin du Luxembourg boat rentals and the Marché aux Puces de St-Ouen flea market.
Eventbrite listings show activities running from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19. Residents and visitors can consult the listed platforms for current schedules and entry details.
